On our way from Alsace to Holland we stopped in the charming little town of Bensheim in Germany.  Our friends Janneke and Stefan live not too far from there.

We checked out the little town and although it was a bit early, we still got a nice feel of their Christmas market which was practically in front of our hotel.

Then Janneke and Stefan picked us up and took us to the great town of Heidelberg, where we spent the evening and had dinner.  It was great to see Janneke again, first time since 1986.
