Bert's home town is Coevorden in Holland. We added a map and a satellite picture for reference.
Donna has been there several times of course, but never for Christmas. So for the first time ever we spent Christmas in Bert's home town and we stayed with Bert's brother and sister-in-law. We had a great time; we all attended a wedding (sorry, no pictures), we had some nice holiday breakfasts and dinners and had fun with some goofy dogs. All in all great family time!

The town was fortified and was fought over very often. You can still clearly see some of the canals that surrounded and helped fortify the town.
