Search for lions

During one of our safari trips our ranger/driver André and tracker Tonight had noticed lion tracks. The tracker got off the vehicle and went to see where the tracks were leading. We drove around trying to find which way we should search for other tracks. After a while the tracker radioed and said he'd found them.  We picked him back up and went to the dried river bed.

We encountered a pack of sleepy lions.  A bunch of females, one of which was pregnant and a young male.  They let us come fairly close, since the King of the Jungle doesn't have anything to fear from anybody!  We could see some red and pink stains around some of their mouths and paws indicating they had made a kill during the night and had their bellies full.

Their is no way to describe accurately how wonderful an experience this was!
